Defunct For Profit College Ordered to Pay Former Students Millions

Corinthian College, a defunct for-profit college has been ordered to pay former students $531 million in damages for deceptive trade practices.  The students are unlikely to receive any money, though, due to Corithian College’s bankruptcy.  The ruling will, however, will make the Department of Education more likely to forgive student loans taken out in order to attend Corinthian.  http://www.wsj.com/articles/corinthian-colleges-ordered-to-pay-damages-to-students-1446059379
