More Bad News
(March 6th, 2009 under Economic News , Statistics , US Economy )The nation’s most recent unemployment numbers are out and they are very bad. “The nation’s unemployment rate bolted to 8.1 percent in February, the highest since late 1983, as cost-cutting employers slashed 651,000 jobs amid a deepening recession. Dow stands at 6,559 and falling, although not at a huge rate, given what it has done in the recent past. Citi is at about $1, having fallen below that level yesterday within the day trading. GM is at $1.61.
