Court’s Opinion Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s book “Green Eggs and Ham”

New Bill to Protect Right to Tithe

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill) co-sponsored a bill to protect an individual’s right to continue reasonable charitable contributions, including religious tithing, during the course of a consumer bankruptcy. The bill was unanimously approved by the Senate on September 30.

New and Revised Official Forms

As of October 1, 2006, there are new and revised Official Forms and an amended Interim Rule 1007.
These new and revised Official Forms must be filed with the court for all cases filed on or after October 1, 2006 and for previously filed cases as is practicable.
